Wichtige Adressen zur Arbeit in den USA
Um in den USA arbeiten zu können, muss vorher ein Examen absolviert werden. Jeder Bundesstaat hat aber seine eigenen Regelungen, sodass man sich vorher überlegen muss, in welchem Staat man arbeiten möchte. Die Koordinierung dieser Aufgaben übernimmt die Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy (FSBPT). Diese verwaltet die amtlichen National Physical Therapy Licensure Examinations.

These individuals review and revise the standards and criteria for the prescreening, licensure and compliance of individuals who received their education outside the US. Visa and immigration policies and requirements are reviewed, and ongoing awareness of off-shore and non traditional PT programs is ensured. Independent evaluation agencies are utilized to verify curriculums, their equivalency to US standards, and the employment history of foreign educated candidates. International Affairs authors the Course Work Evaluation Tool for Persons Who Received Their Physical Therapy Licensure Outside The United States, which is continually reviewed and enhanced.
